Lay Academy continues to study “The Spiritual Brain: Science and Religious Experience.” Dr. Andrew Newberg’s topic today, is “Religion and Mental Health.”(DVD) Scientific Research shows many ways in which the human brain is involved in mental health issues, both positively and negatively. All of us are affected by mental health issues, when we have a family member or friend who suffers from depression, neurosis, addiction, or some other personality disorder.  How can we be more knowledgeable and sensitive to every opportunity we have to share the love of God with someone who suffers from mental illness, in order to promote healing and better overall health? Everyone welcome to share this class in A201 in the Activities Building.  For more information, please contact the Church Office, (304) 343-8961.
