The Lay Academy meets today in Room A201, Activities Building, at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Andrew Newberg’s topic is “The Brain and Religious Rituals.”  We humans not only think, speak, sing, but we act out our beliefs and commitments.  Best examples are Passover Seder (Judaism), Holy Communion (Christians) and the Hajj to Mecca (Muslims).  What does Scientific research discover about why we do these activities in the name of God and how they help us with our faith journey through life.  Everyone is welcome to join us for this study.  Bring a friend or neighbor.  For more information, please contact the Church Office, (304) 343-8961.
