Prayer Service for Healing and Wholeness will be held following our worship service today in the Chapel.

Lay Academy continues to study Science and Religion. Dr. Andrew Newberg’s topic today, is “The Myth-Making Brain.” Jesus loved to share stories to help us ponder who we are, who created us, who created this universe, and where we are headed to. He calls his stories parables. Dr. Newberg reports scientific research which shows how our brains are designed to encourage, support, and learn from Jesus’ way of teaching.  We meet at 5:30 p.m. in Room  A201 in the Activities Building. Everyone welcome. Come join us and bring a friend or neighbor.

Church Tour: Week in and week out, the halls of First Presby buzz with people. We all know where the sanctuary is or where the chapel is, but how well do we really know the buildings that we call our church home? Robin Harlow and Dawn Martinez will be having a church tour for all members, new or old. Meet in the Ruffner Room on April 10, at 9:15 a.m. and we will embark on our journey through First Presby. We hope to see you there and to learn more about our church together!

Benfield-Vick Weekend: Mark the weekend of April 16-17 on your calendar. Dr. Stan Ott will be our guest speaker for Saturday and Sunday.  He will be speaking on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m.-12 noon in the church dining room. A continental breakfast will be served from 9 a.m.-9:30 a.m. On Sunday Dr. Ott will lead an Adult Education hour beginning at 9:15 a.m. and preach in the Worship Service at 10:30 a.m.

Thank You Elementary Sunday School Children:  Thanks to the Elementary Sunday School Children (former Covenant Kids) and adults who made 200 sandwiches during the Sunday School Hour. The sandwiches, along with fruit, were delivered to Manna Meal.

Restroom Updates: The men’s restroom on the first floor of the Education Building has been completely remodeled, as well as, both the men and women’s restrooms on the second floor  in the Activities Building.  Check them out! Also be aware to not turn off the light when leaving these new restrooms, as they have automatic  timed turn off switches.
