Food Pantry Needs:  Boxed Skillet Meals and Peanut Butter

Souper Bowl Sunday Score: The Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl, but the Covenant House  Food Pantry won the Souper Bowl of Caring with financial gifts of $628 and  351 pounds of food. Thanks so much for your generous contributions. Nationwide, 2,091 groups reported figures from Souper Bowl participation and a total of $4,521,612 in cash and food items  was collected to benefit their local food banks. Amazingly, this has grown from one Presbyterian youth who got the idea several years ago for his church youth group to help the local food pantry and it has spread across the nation. One person can make a difference!!

Congratulations to Nefisa Mufti, caregiver to Jimmy Dale King, who became a U.S. Citizen during a recent ceremony here in Charleston.
