March 3, 2019
It’s time to come back home! Sunday, March 3, is our “Homecoming” worship service and dinner. Rev. Joe Marchio, son of Tom and Sara Marchio, will preach at 10:30 am worship, followed by everyone’s favorites — Presby chicken, rolls and cake in the Dining Room. There is no charge for dinner, and reservations are not needed. However, we do appreciate if you let the church office know you are coming to dinner so we make sure there are enough rolls for all! (Call 304-343-8961). We also need people to help set up, serve dinner, and clean up; email Vannessa King at email@example.com or see Laura Ceperley after today’s service in the hallway near the church office to volunteer to help. And please encourage folks who haven’t come to church recently to come home next Sunday—we’d love to see them!
Then at 4:00 p.m., everyone is invited to a free concert of organ and highland bagpipe played by Joe and Sarah Marchio in our sanctuary. The concert will feature sacred Celtic music and is part of the annual Celtic Calling weekend (celticcalling.org). Joe is a native of Charleston, the son of our own Tom and Sara Marchio, and is currently the Pastor and Director of Music at the First Congregational Church of Chatham, MA.
